Here’s a beautful African paper bead bracelet I just got for Christmas, but these beads are easy enough to make, for yourself or for a gift for your family or friends. This is also a good gift to give if you are low on funds or you just like to recycle! (both describe me) All you need is an old catalog or the ad section out of the newspaper (colourful paper is better), scissors, a pen, a ruler, a toothpick, clear nail varnish, and string. The process takes some time, but it’s a great way to relax at the end of the day and just listen to some music. Here’s a photo of some beads I’m working on putting together into a necklace. As you can see, the beads make a nice avant garde decoration while you’re working on them.
See our post on November 11, 2011 for a complete how-to on making paper beads. Happy Making!
